More About Me

Shelly Tripp

"We need to understand where we were, to be grateful for where we are" – a quote that aptly describes the story of Coldwell Banker Realty agent Shelly Tripp. From a young age, she had to look out for herself and her brother – and even survived being homeless as a teenager. Those experiences taught her resilience, perseverance and a belief in herself that she's carried to this day and applied throughout her outstanding career.

Shelly started her real estate business in 1989, and since then she has earned an array of distinguished accolades, including the Salt Lake Board of REALTORS® Salesperson of The Year award, membership in the Coldwell Banker® International Society of Excellence, a prestigious designation reserved for less than 1% of associates globally – along with lifetime sales of over $24 billion.

But these accomplishments come second to Shelly's relentless focus on her buyers and sellers needs. Sometimes referred to as "the Velvet Hammer" and "the Counselor," Shelly's personal philosophy is to work hard and successfully for the buyers and sellers she represents and to provide the highest quality of service – regardless of market conditions or any other challenges. Every client matters to her – their opinions, perspectives, objectives – and she'll persevere on their behalf. She's careful with their finances and avoids any waste of money and time, thanks to well-honed negotiation and pricing skills. Ultimately, Shelly wants her customers to feel that they've been in a partnership with her and that she's listened to and valued them. As a result, clients often tell her she's "more than an agent" – in response to the amount of time, energy, understanding and attention she provides.

White-glove service and stellar performance aren't Shelly's only strengths; she also possesses a wealth of housing knowledge throughout the Wasatch Front. From manufactured homes to multimillion-dollar mansions and everything in between, Shelly sells it all. She serves from Davis to Utah counties, but she specializes in Salt Lake County – particularly the cities of Sandy and Draper. Pepperwood has a special place in Shelly's heart, as it's her beloved community. She knows all about it – along with the history of nearly every home there.

Shelly is an active member of her local church and the Pepperwood HOA. She loves working with youth at the correctional facility in her community in hopes that they learn from her experiences about how to handle challenges and to make better choices for a happier life. Through her years of service, Shelly received the Salt Lake Board of REALTORS® Good Neighbor Award, an annual statewide award honoring one agent who has made exceptional contributions to his or her community.

Outside of real estate, Shelly is an avowed animal lover and has rescued several dogs. She also enjoys the thrill of waterskiing. She's also keenly invested in keeping her surroundings secure – a testament to her "always have a plan" mindset.

Confident and compassionate, Shelly Tripp would find no greater joy than assisting you with your next home purchase or sale – give her a call today for results you can build your future on.
